Giving Back to the Environment

On the Wings of Dreams is a shop supported first and foremost by Nature. We therefore believe it is right and necessary to give back to that which sustains us. For every crystal sold, On the Wings of Dreams will donate 3 cents to the Potomac Valley Audubon Society (PVAS), a local organization that conducts outdoor and environmental education programs serving the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and neighboring Washington County, Maryland.

The Yankauer Nature Preserve near Shepherdstown and the Eidolon Nature Preserve on Sidling Hill in Morgan County, WV are sites managed by the PVAS and owned by the Nature Conservancy. These green spaces have miles of hking trails to explore. Yankauer features a pavillion and information kiosk. Both sites are open to the public from dawn to dusk and are used by PVAS for environmental education programs for schools, scouts, day care centers, Boys and Girls Clubs, families and home-schoolers.
